Attack, attack, attack
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Stephen Carr and Ledley King revealed that David Pleat asked the lads to up the attacking ante against Manchester City - and how they responded.
There was a real verve to the performance - our best of the season - as we took the game to Kevin Keegan's men from the first whistle.
We went ahead early through Darren Anderton, doubled the lead before the break with Helder Postiga's first goal for the club and, although City responded late in the second half, we wrapped up a 3-1 win via Fredi Kanoute on his return in injury time.
Skipper Stephen said: "We had concentrated on a lot of defending but now David wanted to take it up a gear, going forward, creating more and going at teams.
"We showed just that - compare that to the game at City, where we got battered. It's all about application and I think the lads worked really hard, showed a lot of quality on the ball and that's what can happen."
Ledley, growing into his holding midfield role, added: "David Pleat said we'd been defending well, not conceding many goals, suffered a couple of deflections and he wanted an attacking performance. We were determined to do that from that start.
"We got at them straight away, they looked a bit shaky so we kept the pressure up and we had chances.
"The fans were great, sensed we had them under pressure and they were on our side from the start.
"We got ahead and it was all about sustaining the performance."
