Arsenal vs Spurs - Danny targets more goals

Fri 03 January 2014, 14:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Danny Rose reckons he’s due a goal – and he’d love nothing more than to bag another cracker against Arsenal!

The full-back’s stunning strike against the Gunners on his full Premier League debut back in 2010 will live long in the memory but, as we get set to face our rivals in the FA Cup tomorrow, Danny says he fancies getting his name back on the scoresheet.

“That goal was a long time ago now,” said the 23-year-old, recalling his amazing 25-yard volley that flew into the top corner. “It’s about time I scored another one – I think I’m due one!

“But going into tomorrow, we’re all confident and we hope we can get through to the next round.”

As Danny alluded to, the squad is still buzzing after securing back-to-back victories in the Premier League – the latter of which came at Manchester United on New Year’s Day.

And as we take our first steps in this season’s FA Cup, our left-back believes we can carry our momentum over from the victory at Old Trafford into tomorrow’s third round tie.

“Everyone’s pretty confident after the win the other day,” Danny added. “There weren’t many people who thought we could win at Old Trafford.

“Everyone is looking forward to going to the Emirates and hopefully we’ll get ourselves into round four.”
