Arsenal U18s vs Spurs - Kieran's preview

Thu 16 October 2014, 12:16|Tottenham Hotspur

There’s no better stage for our Under-18s to bounce back from last weekend’s heavy defeat on than the North London derby, according to Kieran McKenna.

We return to Barclays Under-18 Premier League action at Arsenal on Friday morning keen on securing a return to winning ways after crashing 5-1 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.

After what he confirmed has been a positive week in training, Under-18s Coach Kieran says our youngsters are keen to put on a good performance against our close rivals.

“The boys are looking forward to the game and it’s always one that the players are naturally up for with it being the North London Derby,” he said.

“We played Arsenal in pre-season and had a really good game against them. They’ve started the season well and I’m sure it will be a good challenge.

“We’ve had a good response in training this week after a disappointing result on Saturday. A few of the boys have been on international duty and a few have had some first team exposure, so hopefully we can carry all that into Friday’s game.”

We’ll have live updates from the game, which kicks-off at 11am, on Twitter @SpursOfficial with a full report here on tottenhamhotspur.com afterwards.
