Anji 0-2 Spurs - Zeki's delight

Zeki Fryers felt the confidence of the team was there for all to see in Thursday night’s Europa League win against Anji in Russia.
The full-back, starting for the first time for us in Europe, played his part as we secured a 2-0 win at the Saturn Stadium in Ramsenskoye, approximately 60km outside Moscow.
Two goals in five minutes from Jermain Defoe and Nacer Chadli did the trick.
In his third appearance of the campaign, Zeki helped the defence to a ninth clean sheet in 11 games, stretching our run in the Europa League to four wins in four - including the play-off - with 12 goals and none conceded.
The win also puts us firmly at the top of Group K on six points from Sheriff on two after their draw against Tromso.
“It was a difficult game and good to come through with the win,” reflected Zeki.
“We had to keep the ball at certain times when the pressure was coming, but all the lads are so confident at the moment.
“It was a tough game physically and we had to deal with that. We’re happy with the win. The lads are delighted.
“I got another 90 minutes and I’m really pleased about that. I’ll try to keep it going, train well and see what happens.”
