Andros Townsend returns to action as our Under-21s take on Newcastle at Bishop's Stortford FC tonight (Monday, kick-off 7pm).
The flying winger has been sidelined since picking up a hamstring injury against West Ham on December 18, missing our last five Premier League matches.
Andros is joined in the squad by Adam Smith, Zeki Fryers and Harry Kane as our Under-21s prepare for their first game in a month in the Baclays U21 Premier League.
"First of all it's a great opportunity for Andros to hone his fitness after his injury," said coach Chris Ramsey.
"Then it's an opportunity for him to help out the younger lads in the squad. He knows the squad and this league inside-out and we'll be looking for him to go out there and perform just like the likes of Sandro, Younes, Lewis and Jake Livermore have in the last couple of seasons."
Goals will be on the menu if last season's encounters are anything to go by - we lost 6-4 at Newcastle on the first day of the season before winning the return 6-0 at the Training Centre in November, 2012!
"We've not played competitively for a while and this will be a test," added Chris. "As I said, it's a great chance for a couple of the more senior lads to improve their fitness and at the same time, help the younger players."
Squad: Archer, Coulibaly, Fryers, Gallifuoco, Kane, Lameiras, McEneff, McEvoy, Miles, Smith, Stewart, Townsend, Veljkovic, Ward.
