Andrew Duggan Memorial Cup

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

This is the third year that the Andrew Duggan Memorial Cup has been held at the Club. The tournament was set up in memory of lifelong Spurs fan Andrew Duggan who tragically died at the age of 26.

This year 30 teams of year six pupils, all from local schools across the Borough of Haringey were invited to take part in the tournament. The group stages took place over two weeks with the winning teams revisiting the Club on November 18 to take part in the finals.

The six schools to reach the finals where Campsbourne Junior, Stamford Hill Primary, Crowland Primary, The Green CE, Seven Sisters Primary and Broadwater Farm Primary.

Members of Andrew’s family attended the event as guests of honour to present the trophy to the winning team. Geoff Duggan is pictured presenting the trophy to the winners Broadwater Farm Primary School.

Tottenham Hotspur Community coach Robbie Polkinghorn who refereed the final commented: "This year from the group stages to the final we witnessed a great standard of football from the local schools involved.

"The teams gave 100 per cent and the finals saw not only outstanding individual performances but great team work and spirit. It was a nail biting final round with the winners Broadwater Farm and eventual runners up Seven Sister Primary level on points going into the final game, with Broadwater Farm wining 2-0."
