Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Darren Anderton detects a change at Spurs within the last month.
The midfielder overcame the effects of flu last week to help overcome Leicester City in a battle royale at the Lane on Saturday.
Anderton certainly came to the fore when, with the battle won, we started to play some delightful one-touch football later in the second half. One of those moves ended with Anderton’s shot being parried into the path of Les Ferdinand for his hat-trick.
The England international said: “It was a difficult game and we knew it would be. We had to battle and maybe a month ago we might have lost the sort of game but we stood up to them, battled them and once we got ahead we started to play some nice football as well.
“They work very hard and want to stop you from playing so in the first half it was difficult to do that but once we got in front they had to come out and that made it easier for us.”
So what was the change down to? “Victories bring confidence,” he added. “The fans were happy with the win against Liverpool last week and that gives us confidence. We’ve been winning one game and losing the next so to win two on the bounce is great for us.”
