All the emotions for Colin
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Colin Calderwood said he could understand why managers go grey after watching his reserve side win a rollercoaster encounter at Ipswich last night.
To sum up, Lars Hirschfeld's handling error allowed the home side to take the lead, Bobby Zamora levelled, Helder Postiga hit the post, Ipswich had two cleared off the line, Ipswich went 2-1 up, Bobby levelled it again, Lars saved a penalty and Stephane Dalmat grabbed the winner.
In-between, there were a host of chances and some lovely football played by both sides on a wonderful playing surace at Portman Road.
"It must have been a great game to watch but it was very frustrating from our point of view on the bench," said Colin.
"We went behind, got back, created chances, they went ahead again, we had more chances, Lars redeemed himself with a penalty save and then we went straight up the other end and scored.
"If it was for league points or a first team manager, I don't know - no wonder they go grey!
"Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm sure everyone at the game was the same.
"It was a fantastic pitch and we had one or two senior players who did themselves proud with the amount of effort they put in. They played in the right manner.
"Ipswich had a younger team than us but were very competitive and we had to play at a good level to stay in the game. They deserve credit for that and I'm just delighted we came out on top."
