Danny Rose played his part as England's Under-18 side rounded off an unbeaten 2007/08 campaign with a 2-0 win over their Austrian counterparts at Victoria Park, Hartlepool.

Danny Rose played his part as England's Under-18 side rounded off an unbeaten 2007/08 campaign with a 2-0 win over their Austrian counterparts at Victoria Park, Hartlepool.The 17-year-old attacking midfielder started the game and created the opening goal for Manchester United’s Danny Welbeck after 10 minutes.

Rose also came close to finding the net himself in the second half with a left-foot volley before being replaced by Ashley Chambers on 71 minutes.

Victory was sealed by another Manchester United player, Daniel Drinkwater, in the final minutes.
