All good for Aaron!

Aaron Lennon speaks after hitting two goals in our 4-0 win over Middlesbrough on Wednesday night...

All is good in the world of Aaron Lennon at the moment.

After scoring twice in our vital 4-0 win over Middlesbrough on Wednesday, the winger claimed he is in the form of his life and the team in the best form they have shown all season.

The goals take Aaron's tally up to five for the season so far - already equalling his best return for a campaign since arriving in the summer of 2005.

And the win takes us up to 13th in the table - a sure sign that we are finally heading in the right direction, according to the 21-year-old.

"I think the team is in the best form it has been in all season at the moment, and that goes for everybody," said Aaron.

"The defenders, the two goalkeepers, all the way through to the attacking players and the substitutes who come on. It's a squad effort and we're a strong squad with quality players.

"And I think I'm in the best form I've been in since I've been at the Club, and this is my most consistent season so far. If I can kick on from here, it will be brilliant for me."

Aaron also feels the convincing victory over Gareth Southgate's men was the best way to recover from our Carling Cup Final defeat on Sunday.

"Things are going well at the moment, not just for me but the team as a whole," he said. "Everybody played well on Sunday, and to bounce back like we did against Boro was brilliant.

"Winning the cup would have been great, but we knew we had a massive game on Wednesday, so as soon as that was over, we were focused on the league.

"The early goal helped us on the night, but we knew how big this game was - it was a six-pointer really.

"Boro are down there with us, and if we can continue to beat the teams around us, it will give us the best possible chance of staying up."
