All about us - Kevin

Kevin Bond insists we'll focus on our job on Sunday - and try not to think about what is happening at The Hawthorns or Goodison Park.

Victory over Fulham in the season’s finale at the Lane will guarantee a place in the top four of the Premier League.

If we manage to beat the Cottagers, Arsenal will have to win at West Brom to hold onto third place. At the same time Newcastle, a point behind in fifth, travel to Everton.

“We need to do the job we need to do and then at least no-one can stop us from finishing fourth,” said assistant boss Kevin.

“That’s what we have to focus on. If we get help from elsewhere, that’s a bonus, but we have to make sure we win our game first.”

Kevin is well aware of the threat an in-form Fulham side possess.

They had the better of our earlier meeting at Craven Cottage but couldn’t find a way past Brad Friedel as we held on defensively to secure a 3-1 win.

Fulham are ninth going into the weekend and could finish as high as seventh in Martin Jol’s first season in charge.

“You only have to look at where they are in the league,” said Kevin. “They’ve a lot of good players, attacking threats.

“They need to be given respect because they are a good side. Dembele is a clever player and Dempsey has just improved and improved during his time in England.”
