All about us - Daws

Michael Dawson is ready for a tough afternoon at the office at Stoke on Sunday.

But the skipper isn't thinking too much about the famed aerial threat at the Britannia Stadium, insisting: "It's about us."

"It will be a tough there, it always is, but if we get the ball down and play, we’ve got the players who can be a massive threat," said Michael, who is determined to come home from the Potteries with three points in the bag.

That was the target as well in Wednesday's thrilling 2-2 draw at Chelsea, where we came from behind twice to grab a precious point and were the team pushing for victory after Gylfi Sigurdsson's 80th-minute equaliser.

"We were determined win that match and we gave our all," added Michael. "I thought we might go on and win it at 2-2 but it wasn't to be. All we can do now is try to get back to winning ways at Stoke."

We travel to Stoke sitting fifth in the Premier League, one point behind Arsenal and three adrift of Chelsea in third.

Chelsea kick-off this weekend's action with Saturday's early kick-off at Villa while the Gunners face Wigan on Tuesday after the Latics reached the FA Cup Final, where they take on City at Wembley on Saturday.

"We'll keep fighting and hopefully someone will do us a favour," said Michael. "We can't look at that too much though. It's about us and we have to go to Stoke and get the three points."
