Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The Tottenham Hotspur FC Academy aims to :

"provide the best possible opportunities, for the best young players of this area, to achieve footballing excellence and to fulfil their all-round potential - on and off the pitch-through its philosophy, its ethos and its holistic programme of development, with the club accepting its responsibilities and obligations, and the players and parents doing likewise to further their progress"

To fulfil our aims the following guidelines are issued :

The academy will:
Provide a safe, enjoyable learning environment
Provide a structured coaching syllabus
Provide a high standard of coaching
Provide a high standard of training facilities and equipment
Provide feedback to players, parents and schools
Assist in promoting the value of the player's school education
Provide a high standard of medical care
Provide a games programme allowing players to play against boys of a similar ability at other academies
Continually emphasise the importance of developing the player, and not seeking to win at all costs
Promoting the idea of the games programme being an extension of the coaching programme. The games should not be thought of as the most important aspect of the academy
Encourage the outlook that performance is more important than results
Assess it's own performance, and seek to continually improve the quality offered to their academy players.

The academy players and their parents are expected to:

Adopt the correct approach to playing and training
Respect the opponents, match officials and all team officials not shout or coach during training or matches
Always be positive……….whatever the result or their son's performance
Enjoy the victories…….modestly
Accept the defeats……graciously
Be on time for training and matches … apologise if delayed
Inform the coach of any important information
Stay a reasonable distance away from the playing area during both matches and training
Stay within the designated match-day spectator areas

Encourage the player to be responsible for:
cleaning his boots
checking his drinks bottle
packing all necessary training & match kit
dressing smartly when representing THFC
