AFTER the fine win at Preston, the sun was out and it was all smiles at Spurs Lodge on Friday

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

It was of course the final training session ahead of Burnley and the lads were all in good spirits.

The session included a fast-paced, 10-a-side one-touch game on a smaller pitch and the ball was pinging around, the competitive nature of the players there for all to see.

The likes of Keano, Crouchy, JJ and Benoit took on a team including Jermain, Aaron, Wilson and Tom and it ended as a 13-goal thriller, with Robbie's team winning the day 7-6.

Spare a thought for JD though, he scored all six of his side's goals but still ended up on the losing team!

AFTER the main session finished, Gareth Bale, Tom Huddlestone and Niko Kranjcar spent a little while longer out in the glorious sunshine, honing their free-kick and shooting techniques, under the watchful eye of coaches Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand.

Some of their set-pieces were superb, finding the top corner in impressive fashion that no keeper in the world would have saved - but it wasn't always the case!

Tom, who you get the impression could knock down a brick wall with a clean strike, hit one so well that just cleared the bar - but it kept rising, clearing the perimeter fence at the Lodge, over the road outside and landing in the hockey club on the other side!

In the firing line was young Academy keeper Jonathan Miles - pictured below - who made a number of fine saves as the shots rained in!
