Emmanuel Adebayor wasn't exactly in celebratory mood after the draw at Sunderland - but declared himself 'very happy' to have hit the 100-appearance milestone for us at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
The Togo striker has rattled in 41 goals since joining us from Manchester City in August, 2011, initially on loan before the move was made permanent a year later.
Ade claimed the assist to Nacer Chadli’s opening goal as we dominated against the Black Cats and led twice only for the Wearsiders to claw back a point via an own goal eight minutes from time.
“We had so many chances, didn’t take them and we’re all disappointed - I don’t know what else to say,” reflected Ade.
“We’ll analyse the game and hopefully we’ll put it right on Thursday and then Sunday.”
As for hitting 100 games for us, he added: “I have been in England for a long time now and Tottenham for a long time now as well.
“It’s good for me, I’m very happy. I know I have the confidence of everyone at the club and I’ll try to keep doing my job and doing my best.
“I’m happy to have reached 100 games, now I look forward to 101 and 102 and I’ll try to score as many goals as I can and help the team as much as possible.”
