Wimbledon U19s 0-1 Spurs
A well-worked goal finished by David Hicks secured a deserved three points for our U19s.
Breaking late from midfield, Hicks (pictured right) side-footed home 10 minutes from time after good work from Jamie Slabber.
Coach Pat Holland reported: "It was great because we were all disappointed with how we played against Norwich last week.
"We started brightly, hit the bar from a corner in the first minute and could have gone ahead but then it levelled out a bit.
"Having said that, we were slightly better and had more of the possession without being too creative and in fact they had the best chance, a shot from the edge of the area that only went a couple of inches wide.
"We said at half-time that we needed to pick it up a little but things didn't really change so after 20 minutes or so I moved Phil Ifil forward to right midfield and that changed it for us.
"We got hold of the ball, started creating and for 25 minutes it was as well as we've played for a long time.
"The goal was well made and finished well by David Hicks, Ricky Dobson hit the bar as well but we almost shot ourselves in the foot right at the end, we had three stabs at clearing a ball in or box and it was ricocheting all over the place but fortunately it went safe.
"Overall I was pleased with the performance, especially the last 25 minutes."
Spurs U19s: Eyre, Ifil, McKie, Foster, Hodges (Watson, 70), Dobson, Hicks, Malcolm, Slabber, O'Hara, Francis. Unused subs: Seanla, Lewis

West Ham U17s 1-1 Spurs
Jimmy Neighbour thought his U17s just about edged this draw against table-topping West Ham.
In the end it was a point apiece with Charlie Lee's (pictured left) towering header from Danny Stevens' corner levelled West Ham's first minute opener.
Coach Jim reflected: "We started very, very slowly and conceded a poor goal after less than a minute - basically we kicked-off, lost possession, they got behind us, poor defending and they've tapped in.
"So it was a disappointing start but credit to the boys, after 20 minutes they got their acts together and started playing some good football.
"We came back into it well, created a few chances and took one of them from a corner kick after 30 minutes when Charlie Lee got on the end of a Danny Stevens corner, a great header to make it 1-1.
"Second half, even though West Ham are top of our group, I thought we matched and sometimes bettered them, passed the ball well and created more chances.
"I thought we just about edged it and it was a shame we couldn't nick another goal because I believe we just about deserved it.
"Credit to the lads, they recovered from last week against Wimbledon and I was quite pleased with them."
