Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Pat Holland was delighted as Radwan Hamed secured a 3-2 friendly win against German outfit Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.

The striker (pictured below) grabbed the winner 10 minutes from time after we’d led twice through Simon Dawkins.

Coach Pat gave us this report. “It was an excellent exercise because they were quite efficient and I’d hadn’t come across their playing system before — they lined-up in a 4-3-1-2 formation, so you have to quickly educate the kids and then they have to do something about it themselves out there to nullify it.

“They had good possession in the early stages but we then had a series of corners that put them under pressure and from one, Stuart Lewis hit a great strike that bounced around in the box before Simon Dawkins buried it.

“That was after about 25 minutes but they equalised to make it 1-1 at half-time.

“Into the second half and we went ahead, a ball over the top, Stuart Lewis got a flick on and Richard Heller went in with the goalkeeper, got his foot to it first and Simon Dawkins was there to roll it into an empty net.

“They still had good possession and deserved an equaliser, a bit of a sloppy goal from our point of view that we didn’t deal with.

“With about 10 minutes to go we hit another ball over the top, Radwan got onto it, ran 20 yards and slid it past the keeper.

“Overall it was a great day, a good exercise with the lads trying to get used to a new system and up against a continental side.

“The result flattered us a little but having said that, the lads worked really hard and it was the ideal preparation for the Eurofoot tournament in Belgium at the end of the week. It was very useful and we got a lot out of it.”
