Academy latest

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

It's so far, so good for both Pat Holland and Jimmy Neighbour's Academy groups in pre-season.

The Under-17 and U19 groups are unbeaten in two friendlies each.

Mario Noto (pictured) has been amongst the goals in our U19s matches against Wingate & Finchley and Brentford.

He struck twice against non-league outfit Wingate & Finchley - bossed by ex-Spur Clive Wilson, who played - with Jon Black and John Sutton also on target in a 4-1 win.

"It was nice to see Clive out there and it was a good game with both sides trying to play football, it was good for us," said boss Pat.

Noto finished off a fine move to open the scoring in the 2-2 draw against Brentford on Saturday.

The Bees opened the scoring, Noto replied and David Galbraith put us 2-1 up after 55 minutes, but Bees hit back again soon after.

Jimmy's U17s kicked-off with a 1-0 win at Oxford United with David Hicks striking the winner from the edge of the box.

They followed up with a 4-1 win against Brentford with Andy Bartram bagging a hat-trick, the highlight a far post header from Phil Ifil's cross. Trialist Amadu hit the fourth.

"It's been typical pre-season stuff so far," said Jimmy. "The games have bene a good exercise for us, good work outs and as pre-season continues, hopefully the football will improve. They've all worked hard so far."
