Academy finishes fourth at Eurofoot tournament

An early breach of our Academy’s defence proved costly in the third place play-off at the Eurofoot tournament in Belgium on Sunday.

Taking on Danish side FC Nordsjaelland, our youngsters fell behind just three minutes into the contest and were unable to haul themselves level – the 1-0 defeat seeing us finish fourth overall in the 12-team competition.

Earlier in the day, we faced Brazilian side Atletico Paranaense in the semi-finals – but goals conceded either side of half-time saw us defeated 2-0.
