We're delighted to be here - Dier on England

Eric Dier is hoping to transfer his Spurs form to England duty - alongside his four team-mates.
The midfielder is preparing for England’s friendly against Australia at Sunderland on Friday with Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker. All five started the 2-1 win against Turkey on Sunday.
Speaking at an England press conference on Wednesday, Eric said: “It’s obviously great for Tottenham and all the Tottenham boys, and we’re delighted to be here.
“Now it’s very much an England thing and we’re all looking to bring our form from Tottenham here.
“We need to focus on the way England want to play and the way our manager here wants to play and hopefully we can do that and at the same time, bring the form that gave us our opportunity.”
Eric’s opportunity has arrived after a fine campaign in a new holding midfield role.
The 22-year-old played 36 times in central defence and right-back roles last season but was successfully switched by Mauricio Pochettino into the holding role with outstanding results – he played 37 of 38 in the Premier League and only missed three matches all season.
“I’ve enjoyed (the role) very much from when I started playing there for my club until now,” he added. “It’s given me great things in football this season with Tottenham and obviously I made my England debut there and have played quite a few games for England there.
“The role has given me a lot of positives and I’m enjoying it very much.”
Roy Hodgson will trim his squad from 26 to 23 for the European Championships on May 31.
England take on Portugal at Wembley in their final pre-tournament friendly on June 2 and face Russia in their Euro 2016 opener on June 11.
