Under Armour Goal of the Season result

03 June 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Voting closed this week for the 2015-16 Under Armour Goal of the Season – and, perhaps unsurprisingly, we have a clear winner!

Dele Alli’s incredible strike in the 3-1 win at Crystal Palace on January 23, already selected as Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season, topped the poll with 52.6 per cent of fans’ votes.

With the scores finely poised at 1-1 with six minutes remaining at Selhurst Park, Harry Kane whipped the ball out to the left side for Christian Eriksen, who knocked it back into Dele’s path 20 yards from goal.

What followed was truly sublime. The midfielder took a touch, flicked the ball over his head, turned and struck a low right-footed shot into the net.

The precise strike won Dele plaudits from right across the globe and clearly those voting for our Under Armour Goal of the Season were equally impressed!

Harry Kane’s goal in the 2-2 home draw with Arsenal in March was runner-up in the poll with 21.3 per cent of the votes.

One lucky voter has won an Under Armour goody bag for taking part – they’ll be contacted shortly.
