Toby Alderweireld was almost lost for words after completing his club awards double.
The outstanding central defender's performances were recognised with the Supporters Clubs' and One Hotspur Members' Player of the Season accolades over the weekend.
Toby received the OHM trophy to a standing ovation at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
"I can't believe it," said the ever-modest Belgian international. "It's a great honour.
"I'm very proud and I want to thank the fan and especially my team-mates. They've all worked so hard - everyone deserves a trophy."
Toby admitted the loss against Southampton was 'painful' but was determined to finish it off in style in our final match at Newcastle on Sunday (3pm).
Victory at St James' Park will guarantee second place in the Premier League.
"Southampton was disappointing but we don't have to put our heads down," added Toby. "It's been a great season, we've put a lot of effort in and now we have this last game to go out and earn second place."
Toby joins a who's who of the club on the Player of the Season shield, including the first winner Gary Mabbutt (1987), Paul Gascoigne (1990), Gary Lineker (1992), Jurgen Klinsmann (1994), Teddy Sheringham (1995), David Ginola (1998), Robbie Keane (2004, 2006, 2008), Michael Dawson (2010), Luka Modric (2011), Gareth Bale (2013), Christian Eriksen (2014) and Harry Kane last year.
