The ultimate ‘soccerifice’

When lifelong Arsenal supporter Debbie Allen posed for a picture wearing a Spurs shirt last week, you might have thought she was doing so unwillingly – but think again.

Thanks to a kidney donation from cousin and Spurs season ticket holder Adam Myers, Debbie’s life was saved last week following a chronic kidney disease she has suffered from since 2003.

However, part of the ‘deal’ in receiving Billy the Kid(ney) – named after the great Bill Nicholson – was for Debbie to wear the famous Lilywhite to raise awareness of kidney charities and encourage further donations.
