DeAndre Yedlin helped Sunderland come back from behind to beat Chelsea 3-2 in a huge boost for their Premier League survival hopes on Saturday.
Once again playing the full 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light, our on-loan right-back supplied the ball in for ex-Spur Jermain Defoe to net Sunderland’s winner 20 minutes from time.
The victory saw the Black Cats climb out of the relegation zone. Victory at home to Everton on Wednesday night would secure the club’s top flight status.
Elsewhere, Grant Ward finished off his loan spell at Rotherham United with another full shift in the Millers’ midfield but saw his side crash to a 5-1 defeat at Hull City in their final game of the Championship season.
