Leading the way for disability football
04 May 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
The Club, through its Foundation, has long been renowned as a leader in its field when it comes to providing sporting opportunities for disabled people.
The latest example of this is the success of our Deaf and Partially-Sighted U17 Futsal team, who joined us at Hotspur Way last week.
Since the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation was created in 2007, over 13,000 people with disabilities have been given access to high quality sports coaching, both at home and overseas through our work with the Special Olympics movement.
The Futsal team recently lifted the National Cup in Birmingham for the third successive year and, as well as being rewarded with the chance to meet the First Team, the Foundation will now help players progress into national development squads and possibly through to representing Team GB in the future.
