Junior Members enjoy an executive view

05 May 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Two lucky One Hotspur Junior Members won a place in an Executive Box to watch our recent Under-21s fixture against Manchester United.

Eden Bromage and Isaac Edwards were joined by Isaac’s dad, Mark Edwards, as well as Spurs legend Pat Jennings for an exciting night at White Hart Lane.

Mark explained: “It was a real highlight meeting Big Pat! I’ve been attending matches at the Lane since 1972, so it was a real thrill to meet him. Isaac was a mascot against Manchester United a couple of years ago and he’s watched Pat’s goal against them time and time again on YouTube. Isaac has always said the player he would most like to meet was Pat Jennings so all things fell into place for an excellent evening.”

Here, Isaac and Eden tell the story of the night in their own words…

“We were ecstatic before the game because we’d never been in an Executive Box before. Also, we felt special being in a place with famous people and we were really surprised when there was an all-you-can-eat buffet. Watching from the Executive Box was a once in a life time opportunity for ‘normal’ people like us!

“Sitting in the comfort of a box was completely different from our usual seats and it wasn’t as cold as it is normally. Furthermore, it was very quiet inside our box but we could control the crowd noise from outside via our inside speakers. We also had warm leather seats which was a bonus! Many of the players are future stars like Josh Onomah, Harry Winks and Will Miller so it was great to watch them play. The view was amazing and the staff were amazing. Despite this, Spurs still lost but we still had a brilliant time. We were also lucky enough to meet the legend himself, Pat Jennings, and had a chat with him. Then he sat in the box next to us – it was great!

“We’ve entered many One Hotspur Junior competitions just like this one but have never won, so it was that much better. We think Junior membership is fantastic because we get to enter a bunch of competitions and go to a lot of games. To other parents wanting to sign their children up we have to say that it is a great Club and very friendly, also there are a lot of opportunities for you and your child!”
