The match will take place at the famous ANZ Stadium - formerly known as Stadium Australia, host of the 2000 Olympics - on Saturday May 30. Kick-off is 8pm local time.
Sydney were looking for their third Grand Final victory having won the big prize in 2006 and 2010 but were beaten 3-0 in the final by regular-season champions ('Premiers') Melbourne Victory on Sunday, May 17.
The 'Sky Blues' finished runners-up in the A-League with Austrian international striker Marc Janko netting 16 league goals, a club record.
Established in 2004, Sydney FC are the most successful club in the history of the Hyundai A-League, having won 10 trophies across the Hyundai A-League, the Westfield W-League and Foxtel National Youth League, participating in seven of the 10 A-League end-of-season finals series, being crowned Champions twice and Premiers on one occasion.
