SAFETY AT THE LANE
SECURITY MESSAGEPlease be aware that the Club will continue to implement their searching procedures at the turnstiles this season to ensure the safety and security of all fans. As such, we would respectfully ask that supporters arrive in good time ahead of kick off to guarantee that there is little or no delay in entering the stadium. We would like to inform you that bags will often be checked when entering White Hart Lane and bringing large bags into the Stadium is not advisable. Thank you for your continuous co-operation.
STANDINGThe Club would like to reiterate its policy with regards to standing during football matches played at White Hart Lane and ask for the fans to co-operate with the Stewards on matchdays. We naturally recognise that the problem does not exist throughout the Stadium, but where and when it does occur, it affects a number of fans who have been unable to view the pitch on occasions and, due to this, we received a number of complaints last Season. As such, we need to deal with the problem as best we can, but we cannot do this without your support. Therefore, we would ask you to consider the fans behind you, the elderly or the young and those who cannot stand for prolonged periods of time.
We are aware that football can be a passionate and emotive game and we also know that fans will stand at times throughout the duration of a match. The issue relates to fans that persistently stand during games and continually work against instructions and requests from stewards.
With the onset of a third campaign in the UEFA Cup, we can look forward to another fantastic Season. Your support of the team has been invaluable over recent years and therefore, the Club is unhappy at having to eject and ban fans for this offence, but we will continue to do so if the situation presents itself again this Season. Ejection from the Stadium carries a minimum three match ban, with no refund on Season Tickets.
The Club is monitored on a regular basis by the Local Authority, who issue the Safety Certificate, and the Football Licensing Authority and whilst they are happy with the way we deal with a number of issues, they are continually looking at the standing problem and solutions to resolve it. The ruling is the same as at all other Premier League Clubs and those that are all seater Stadiums in other Leagues. It has been noticeable that some Clubs have had their capacities reduced and this is not something we wish to see at White Hart Lane. Please help us to work with the Authorities and recognise that standing is an issue that needs to be dealt with for the benefit of everyone.
Please listen to what the Stewards say and sit down when requested to do so, allowing everyone to enjoy the match in the unique atmosphere here at White Hart Lane, created by Spurs fans.
TEXTING SERVICE - 07766 553 225The Texting Service is unique at White Hart Lane and has been used to good effect in the past couple of Seasons in enabling us to ban people for committing offences on matchdays.
Foul, abusive and racist language will not be tolerated in this Stadium, but should you experience any of these and wish to report it, you can do so by texting the Control Room on the above number. You do not have to put up with mindless supporters who are intent on ruining your day with us, so use the system, report the individuals and let us take it from there.
For our staff, it is better to monitor the problem as it is happening, we can view the area of concern on CCTV and deal with everything quickly.
Help us to make White Hart Lane a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
SPURS AGAINST DISCRIMINATIONWe do not tolerate discrimination of any sort at the Club, on the pitch or in the stands. If you experience any form of discrimination, help us to eliminate it from football by reporting it.
Text us on 07766 553 225 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org - we will treat your correspondence in strictest confidence. Your co-operation in helping to make White Hart Lane a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone is greatly appreciated.
EVACUATION PROCEDUREIn the event of an emergency at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, spectators should remain in their positions and listen carefully to the loud speaker announcements that will be made.
The announcements may direct spectators in a specified area of the ground to evacuation points which may be exit gates or emergency exits leading on to the pitch.
Our PA system operates on a 'zoned' basis so do not worry if you cannot hear certain broadcasts too clearly. In such cases, the information will not appertain to your section of the stadium.
Stewards, officials and police officers will direct spectators to the relevant points.
If spectators are requested to vacate a specified area, they are asked to do so calmly and quickly to assist with a safe evacuation.
All supporters should then make their way towards the east side of the stadium using Park Lane and Worcester Avenue, into Northumberland Park, avoiding the High Road and the front of the stadium.
If you have any information about any persons involved in football hooliginism, please call the national criminal intelligence service, football unit on 0800 515495. Your call will be treated in the strictest confidence. This ground is equipped with CCTV with the help of a grant from the football trust.
