Yago Falqué

The Spanish Under-21 international midfielder joined us permanently from Juventus in January, 2012 after an initial loan spell.

He impressed in training and for our Spurs XI and after making the bench in the Premier League at Wolves, was handed his first-team debut in the Europa League group match at PAOK in Greece in September, 2011.

Yago was close to marking his debut with a goal - he had a shot cleared off the line in the first half and was inches wide in the second half as it ended 0-0 in Salonika. Yago also came off the bench in the Carling Cup tie at Stoke.

He went on to make six appearances, five in the Europa League, before joining Southampton on loan for the rest of the campaign.

A European Under-17 Championship winner with Spain in 2007, Yago joined Juventus from Barcelona in August 2008 and spent the 2010/11 campaign on loan at Spanish second division side Villareal B where he scored 11 goals in 36 games.
