Powerful young striker has gained an abundance of Football League experience in recent seasons.
He has now played over 100 games on loan spells at Yeovil, Millwall, Peterborough and Swindon.
Jon's breakthrough season came in 2008-09, when he made his first team debut in a UEFA Cup tie against Shakhtar Donetsk and earned the Club's Breakthrough Player of the Year award from our fans.
He then joined Yeovil with Andros Townsend and the pair played a huge part as the Glovers avoided relegation, scoring four goals in 10 games including winning goals in back-to-back games against Swindon and Northampton.
That form earned Enfield-born Jon a place in England's 2009 U20 World Cup squad, playing twice in Egypt, and a second loan move back to Yeovil for the first part of the 2009-10 campaign, scoring a further six goals before joining Millwall in February, 2010.
At The Den he helped their ultimately successful push for the play-offs with two goals in 12 substitute appearances - the first of which came, ironically, in a 1-1 draw with Yeovil at Huish Park!
It was back to Spurs for the following pre-season, and he enjoyed an impressive one amongst the first team squad before making the step up to Championship level with a loan move to Crystal Palace for the start of the 2010-11 campaign.
But chances were limited for Jon at Selhurst Park and he made just eight appearances before further short-lived loan spells at Peterborough United and Swindon Town until he returned to Yeovil for a third time.
Once again, he found fortune at Huish Park and was once again instrumental in helping the club avoid relegation with three goals in 11 games.
In the summer of 2011 he signed a one-year contract extension at the Lane and returned to Yeovil for a fourth spell in time for the start of the new season.
This time, he scored four goals in 27 appearances at Huish Park.
