The highly-rated young goalkeeper has earned rave reviews for his performances while on-loan in the Football League over the past three seasons.

Most recently, David impressed on a season-long stint at Plymouth Argyle in 2010-11, making 30 appearances in League One.

That followed another successful spell at Shrewsbury in League Two in 2009-10 where he made 26 appearances.

Earlier on that season, he made his Spurs first team debut as a substitute in our 5-1 Carling Cup victory at Doncaster Rovers.

He joined Leyton Orient on a six-month loan in August, 2011, but suffered a shoulder injury.

In 2008-09, David enjoyed loan spells at Grays Athletic, AFC Bournemouth, Luton Town, and Dagenham & Redbridge.

At Luton, he was on the substitutes bench as the team lifted the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley, while he also played a key role in Dagenham's push for promotion from League Two.

He also earned his first cap for England at Under-20 level in a friendly with Italy at Loftus Road in February 2009, having previously represented his country at Under-19 level.

Stevenage-born David progressed through our Academy ranks having joined as a full-time scholar in July 2005, eventually featuring on numerous occasions at Reserve level.
