Full-back and Academy graduate made his first-team debut as a substitute against Fulham in the Premier League on the final day of the 2011-12 campaign.
The England Under-21 international impressed again on loan in 2011-12, this time scoring two spectacular goals in 22 appearances for MK Dons in League One.
He eventually returned as cover for Kyle Walker and made that long-awaited debut against the Cottagers in May.
August, 2011, was a good month for Adam as he made his debut for England Under-21s in a friendly against Israel. He's now been capped at Under-16, 17, 19 and 20 levels.
Adam shone in a loan spell at Bournemouth in 2010-11. His performances in 42 appearances in all competitions alerted England, who called him into the Under-20 World Cup squad. Adam played all four matches in Colombia.
He made his league debut on loan at Wycombe in 2009-10 and then joined Torquay, where he made 18 appearances.
Adam first caught the eye in 2006-07 and his performances for the Under-16s and Under-18s that season earned a first call to the reserves aged 16.
Born in London, Adam attended Leventhorpe School, where he was 1,500m County and District champion.
He featured in one of the first games at the new Wembley Stadium for England U16s against Spain in April, 2007.
He enjoyed a consistent season for our Under-18s in 2008-09, making 29 appearances and scoring three goals.
He signed his first professional contract with us in the summer of 2008 and travelled with the First Team to the pre-season Feyenoord Jubileum Tournament.
Adam also earned a place on the bench for our UEFA Cup games with NEC Nijmegen and Shakhtar Donetsk in 2008-09, as well as making eight appearances for the Reserve side.
To round it all off, he captained the Under-18s to success in their defence of the Tournoi International de Monthey in June 2009.
