Jake Livermore

Academy graduate who is now firmly part of the first-team squad - and a full England international.

Jake earned his first England cap after coming on as a substitute in the 2-1 win against Italy in Switzerland in August, 2012.

A central midfielder who is quick into the tackle, reads the game and rarely loses the ball, Jake joined our Academy in July, 2006 and has progressed through the ranks, gaining valuable experience on loan until his breakthrough season in 2011-12.

He signalled his intent in the first game of the season at Hearts, where he started and scored a fine goal in our 5-0 win in the Europa League play-off, first leg.

He went on to feature 38 times in all competitions, including seven starts in 24 appearances in the Premier League. Those starts included huge matches against United, Newcastle and Liverpool away and arguably his best display in the 2-0 home win against Everton as we pushed for a top-four place.

Jake also started all eight of our Europa League matches in 2011-12.

Born locally in Enfield, Jake signed as a professional in November, 2006 and experienced loan spells at MK Dons, Crewe, Derby and Peterborough United before making his Spurs debut at Stoke in March, 2010.

He had two more loan spells at Ipswich Town and Leeds in 2010-11 before returning to Spurs and finally breaking through in 2011-12.
