Attacking midfielder with an eye for goal joined us from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2012.

We knew plenty about the Iceland international before he joined us - Gylfi scored against us during his loan spell from Hoffenheim to Swansea in the Premier League in 2011-12.

The was one of seven goals in 19 appearances during his spell in Wales - where he also picked up the Barclays Player of the Month award for March.

Gylfi originally moved to England with Reading, coming through their Academy to make 51 appearances and scoring 23 times. He was named Player of the Year in his only full season in the Royals First Team before moving to the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim in 2010.
