Our top-scorer in 2011-12, 'Ade' signed for us permanently from Manchester City in August, 2012.

Tall, skilful, strong in the air and with the ability to score and create, the striker scored 18 goals in all competitions after joining us on loan from City in 2011-12.

That haul included an impressive 17 goals and further 12 assists from 33 appearances in the Premier League.

Having played for Metz and Monaco, Emmanuel made his name at our rivals Arsenal, where he scored 62 goals in 142 appearances in all competitions between 2005-2009.

That prompted City to splash out for the Togo international in July, 2009 and he responded with 15 goals in 34 Premier League outings in his first season.

He found his chances limited in 2010-11, however, and joined Real Madrid on loan in January, 2011. He was on target eight times in 22 appearances for  for the Spanish giants - including a goal against us in the Champions League - before joining us on loan in August, 2010.

Emmanuel won the Copa Del Rey in his time at Madrid and his other honours include a place in the PFA Team of the Season in 2007-08 and CAF African Player of the Year in 2008.
