WE PUSH ON AGAIN - HUGO
Posted 12 March 2013 1:09pm
Hugo Lloris was positive despite the disappointment of defeat at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool started well and went 1-0 up but we hit back and took control of the game with two goals from Jan Vertonghen either side of half-time.
However, a couple of mistakes allowed momentum to turn back to the Reds and Steven Gerrard’s penalty eight minutes from time put an end to our 12-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, with us still sitting in third, Hugo was looking forward rather than back.
“Liverpool was disappointing because we had control of the game,” he reflected. “We led 2-1 and had opportunities to score the third goal. We made mistakes and the game turned.
“But we have to be positive, to look forward.
“There are nine games remaining and a lot of possibilities for us. We have to work hard, believe and push on again. We’re confident we can do that.”
