SPECIAL GAME - GYLFI

Gylfi Sigurdsson is expecting to face a resolute Inter Milan as we go for goals in the first leg of our Europa League, Round of 16 tie at the Lane on Thursday night.
It’s been a fine couple of weeks for the attacking midfielder who registered his first goal for us in the Premier League to help turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win at West Ham before starting and picking the pass for Gareth Bale to open the scoring in Sunday’s North London derby.
Now attention turns to another huge game against the Italian giants, European champions in 2010.
“We've had a run of massive games and they keep coming,” said Gylfi. “We had Lyon, West Ham, Arsenal now Inter. It’s a special game.
“Inter have quality throughout the team and I’m sure it will be tough to break them down but the way we’ve been playing for the last few months, we want to attack and score goals, especially at home and aim to get a good result to take to the away leg.”
Sunday’s derby success represented Gylfi’s first start in the Premier League since New Year’s Day.
“It was good to get 90 minutes at last, it’s been a while. I looked at the clock at 60 minutes and I felt tired but I got through, put a shift in for the team and the three points which was very important.
“It was great to come on and score against West Ham and get the assist against Arsenal but the important thing is to keep on winning games and try to get that Champions League spot.
“We’re on a fantastic run and hopefully we’ll maintain it to the end of the season.”
