It's been a great week for Simon Dawkins and San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS - without kicking a ball!
Our partner club, Earthquakes became the first team to clinch an MLS Cup play-off berth following Chivas USA’s loss to Seattle Sounders on Saturday.
Simon has been in fine form as the Earthquakes have stormed to the top of the Western Division of the MLS.
He scored in their last fixture - a 4-0 win over Chivas - to make it four goals in his last four games and seven for the season.
Without a competitive fixture this week, Simon came on as a late substitute as the Earthquakes beat San Luis of Mexico 1-0 in a friendly on Thursday night.
Bongani Khumalo played the full 90 minutes in PAOK's latest Greek Super League fixture, a late 1-0 loss against Atromitos Athens.
John Bostock was an unused substitute as Swindon suffered a 1-0 home loss against Leyton Orient in League One on Sunday while on Saturday, Ryan Fredericks didn't feature as Brentford beat Colchester 1-0, also in League One on Saturday.
