LEDLEY PROMOTES POSITIVE MESSAGE FOR TOTTENHAM'S YOUNG PEOPLE

Ledley King represented the Club on a special day for Tottenham on Tuesday.
The Value Life festival saw children from various local schools take to the streets in a vibrant and colourful carnival procession along the High Road.
Around 1,000 students walked from Gladesmore Community School nearby Seven Sisters all the way to White Hart Lane, promoting positivity amongst young people and speaking out against crime.
The event carried extra significance nearly a year on from the troubles that hit the area last summer.
En route, Ledley joined a group of students and David Lammy MP to unveil the Value Life memorial at 639 High Road, the old Council building damaged during the disturbances.
The plaque reads: ‘…dedicated to the people of Tottenham from local school students who are proud of their community and aspire to make a positive contribution to society’.
This message was perfectly summed up by the performance of ‘Everybody Dreams’, Gladesmore’s ‘Song for Tottenham’, when the procession arrived at the Lane.
With the backing of the Club, its players, local politicians and celebrities from the world of TV, music and sport, Gladesmore hope to take ‘Everybody Dreams’ to the top of the UK charts this summer. We will have a video of this latest performance coming shortly.
Ledley said: “As a Premier League football club, we recognise the unique role we have in this community and are fully supportive of Value Life and everything it stands for.
“Through the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, the Club is fully committed to using the appeal of football to create opportunities that change lives for young people in the area.
“I have recently given my backing to Skills, a project currently running five days a week at the White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre, giving young people aged 12-19 the chance to play sport and improve their IT skills.
“Everyone at the Club is also fully supportive of Gladesmore’s efforts to take ‘Everybody Dreams’ to the top of the charts this summer. The performance was great and it just goes to show what young people can achieve with hard work and dedication.”
