FC BASEL IN EUROPA LEAGUE QF

We have been drawn against FC Basel of Switzerland in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
As we were drawn out first, we will play the first leg at White Hart Lane on Thursday, April 4. Kick-off will be 8.05pm.
The return leg will be at the FC Basel's St Jakob Park a week later on Thursday, April 11 with the same 8.05pm (UK time) kick-off.
FC Basel progressed to the last eight with an impressive 2-1 aggregate victory over Russian side Zenit. Having won the first leg 2-0, FC Basel held on for a 1-0 loss in the return despite going down to 10 men. The hero was goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who saved a late penalty from Roman Shirokov.
FC Basel started their 2012-13 European campaign in the Champions League, progressing from the second qualifying round in July to the play-offs, where they lost 3-2 against Cluj.
They finished runners-up in Group G of the Europa League and beat Dnipro of the Ukraine 3-1 on aggregate in the Round of 32 before toppling Zenit.
All three English clubs avoided each other in the quarter-finals - Chelsea face Rubin Kazan while Newcastle take on Benfica.
