DEGREE COURSE GRADUATES MAKE HISTORY

Posted 16 August 2012 6:25pm

The first ever graduates from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation degree course programme were recognised at the Club on Wednesday.

The FdA Applied Sport and Community Development course is the first of its kind to be run out of a Premier League football club.

Nine young people who enrolled on the course two years ago completed their studies this summer, 90 per cent with a pass grade of 2:2 or above.

Two students, Neill Walsh and Dan Slaughter, have gained employment with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation as a result.

A further four students will now take the option of topping up to a BA Hons degree by studying for a further year at Middlesex University, whom the scheme is run in partnership with.

All graduates, and their families, received a champagne reception and two-course meal at White Hart Lane before being handed certificates by legendary Club Ambassador, Ledley King.

The coming academic year will see the launch of our second Foundation degree course in Applied Sports Hospitality and Nutrition.

The UCAS clearing process begins today (Thursday) with places available on both courses, beginning in October.
