GREAT PLAYERS
Terry Medwin
INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF FAME
A fleet-footed attacker, Terry Medwin battled it out with Terry Dyson for most of his career at the Lane.
Signed from Swansea for £25,000 in May 1956, Medwin made an immediate impact in his first season at the club, his crossing and shooting catching the eye as we finished runners-up.
He scored 14 goals in each of his first three campaigns at the club but lost his regular place to Dyson in the double season of 1960-61, although he still played a significant role and made enough appearances to earn a medal.
The Welsh international was back in the side for our 1962 FA Cup triumph but only 12 months later suffered a broken leg that forced his early retirement.
He later coached at Fulham and was assistant manager to John Toshack at Swansea.
Appearances/goals: (all competitions): 215/72.
