Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are proud to work in partnership with Investec, the Club’s Cup shirt partner, and Forward Zone to bring its acclaimed Global Coaching Programme to South Africa throughout 2012/13
Courses will take place in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town and provide 3,200 places for boys and girls, between the ages of 8 and 17, for coaching by some of the Club’s leading youth coaches.

Tottenham Hotspur is renowned around the world for playing entertaining and attacking football. The Club’s Global Coaching Programme shares this philosophy, coaching players to play the game with the same style and approach as world-class superstars such as Gareth Bale, Mousa Dembele and Emmanuel Adebayor.
Commenting on the announcement of the partnership Andy Rogers from Tottenham Hotspur’s Global Coaching Programme said: "This is a fantastic partnership for the Club and we are looking forward to working with Investec and Forward Zone to deliver these coaching courses across South Africa.
“The Club has a long association with South Africa and through our ongoing relationship with Supersport United we are aware of the huge amount of talent and passion for football that exists across the country. Our goal is to deliver the best learning environment possible to encourage and develop the skills and techniques of all those players that attend the courses, whatever their level.”

The first course took place at St David’s School, Johannesburg from 10-14 December 2012 and was attended by Tottenham Hotspur ambassador and former captain, Ledley King.
Each course was run by four professional full-time coaches from Tottenham Hotspur’s Global Coaching Programme, who were assisted by several South African coaches, to ensure all those attending have the chance to learn how to play the ‘Tottenham Hotspur way’.

Tottenham Hotspur has enjoyed a long relationship with South Africa, having toured there in 2003, 2007 and 2011. In addition to Investec’s association with the Club, which is now in its third season, Spurs also has an established relationship with Supersport United, partnering with the South African Club to deliver an elite youth development academy. For the past six years Tottenham Hotspur has also worked with SOS Children’s Home, the world’s largest orphan charity to finance the construction and upkeep of an orphan house in Rustenburg.
Each player development programme will be led by our International Coaching Programmes Manager, Andy Rogers, along with our specialised International coaching team.
Boys and girls aged 6 to 16 years of all footballing abilities can take part in advanced style coaching based on the Tottenham Hotspur Academy syllabus*.
The programme aims to:

- Develop effective players and individuals
- Optimise every second for the player

ANDROMEDA FC AND TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR GLOBAL COACHING TEAM TO DELIVER FOOTBALL COACHING COURSES IN TEXAS
Andromeda FC has today announced a partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Global Coaching, the coaching division of the English Premier League Soccer Club, that will see the two organizations working together to deliver soccer development in Dallas, Texas.
The aim of the partnership, which will last for an initial two year period, is to give the players and coaches from Andromeda FC access to the Player/Coach Development model incorporated within the Tottenham Hotspur Global Coaching structure and philosophy. This will be achieved through a series of coaching programmes in Dallas, as well as providing UK-based visits for selected teams and coaches.
Coaches from Tottenham Hotspur Global Coaching team will work with Andromeda FC to provide players at all levels with the opportunity to experience professional soccer training from our team of coaches. In addition, the partnership will focus on educating the players around the physical aspects of training and playing and the necessary dietary and nutritional requirements in sport.
The launch of this partnership with Andromeda FC will be held on April 7 at 3pm at Jesuit College Preparatory School at 12345 Inwood Lane, Dallas, Texas, with the first courses running in July 2012.

FOOTBALL FOCUS ASIA
The Asia launch of the development programme was held in Malaysia and highlights Spurs' two-year partnership with Football Focus Asia which also includes a one-year association with the British School of Kuala Lumpur.
The opportunity to experience professional football training with Spurs Global Coaching team of coaches.
The agreement will provide Asian footballers aged 10-18, across all regions, with the opportunity to experience professional football training with Spurs Global Coaching team of coaches. The programme will focus on not only physical aspects of training and playing, but necessary dietary and nutritional requirements in sport.
The aim of the programme is to improve the standard of Asian football at grass roots level through a series of coaching camps across Malaysia and other Asia regions as well as UK based visits for teams.
