EDUCATION PROJECTS

The Education, Employment, Enterprise and Skills team works to enrich the lives of young people in our community through educational opportunities and intervention activities.

We aim to provide an educational pathway for young people from Key Stage One to Higher Education with the emphasis on helping individuals fulfil their potential. Wherever possible, we work with the families, parents and carers of our young people to maximise the impact of our programmes. Our work does not stop with children, we also deliver parent and carer programmes that aim to re-engage, promote employability and provide skills that improve family life.

In 2010 the Foundation launched its first Higher Education programme through a partnership with Middlesex University. The Degree in Applied Sport and Community Development strengths the pathways and increases the opportunity and educational outcomes for young people.

We also have a range of programmes focusing on improving employability, including the Apprenticeships programme. These programmes are to inspire young people and adults who are not in education, employment or training to take positive steps to fulfil their potential.
