Mauricio Pochettino said it's vital to look beyond the result against Leicester City and straight ahead to Sunderland.
The majority of almost 36,000 at the Lane were left crestfallen after the Foxes snatched a late win in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
We did everything but score - 21 efforts at goal, Harry Kane struck the woodwork, Kasper Schmeichel made numerous saves - but the key number one the night was one, Leicester's goal on 83 minutes to inflict only our third loss of the league campaign.
"We need to be positive," said Mauricio back at Hotspur Way on Thursday. "It’s true, sometimes that’s difficult and the feeling was bad last night, but it’s important to identify that the feeling was bad because the result was negative. The performance was good.
"We gave them some chances to score so we need to try to not make the same mistakes next time and be more clinical in front of goal.
"This is a game to take some positives, to learn and now we will try to win against Sunderland on Saturday.
"It’s always good to play again quickly when you get a negative result. We will try to take away the disappointment and frustration, to be energetic and focus on winning the next three points."
We take on Sunderland in a 12.45pm KO at the Lane tomorrow (Saturday, January 16).
