We have the best defensive record in Europe after Sunday's 1-0 win at Cardiff City.

The clean sheet at Cardiff City Stadium stretched our record to just one goal conceded in our first five Premier League matches in 2013/2014.

That puts us on top of the defensive stats in European leagues, with Inter and Roma also conceding just once but in four matches in Italy's Serie A.

Here are the current standings, provided by Opta:

SPURS - 1 goal conceded in 5 matches, Premier League
    Inter - 1 in 4, Serie A
    Roma - 1 in 4, Serie A
    Bayern Munich - 2 in 6, Bundesliga
    Southampton - 2 in 5, Premier League
    Chelsea - 2 in 5, Premier League
    Monaco - 3 in 6, Ligue 1
    Liverpool - 3 in 5, Premier League
Real Sociedad - 3 in 5, La Liga
    Livorno - 3 in 4, Serie A
    Espanyol - 3 in 4, La Liga
    Juventus - 3 in 4, Serie A
    Napoli - 3 in 4, Serie A

Staying in Europe, we are also fifth in terms of shots at goal (including blocked shots).

    Borussia Dortmund - 136, Bundesliga
    PSG - 118, Ligue 1
    Bayern Munich - 117, Bundesliga
Real Madrid - 110, La Liga

    Hannover 96 - 94, Bundesliga
    Chelsea - 92, Premier League
