Steffen Freund paid tribute to Kyle Walker after the full-back earned his 10th England cap this week.

Kyle played a full shift as the Three Lions suffered a 1-0 loss against old rivals Germany at Wembley on Tuesday.

Now preparing for our return to action at City on Sunday, Kyle has shown incredible consistency since nailing down the right-back role at Spurs in 2011-2012.

Since then, he’s started 84 of our last 87 matches in the Barclays Premier League.

“Kyle’s stamina and endurance is so important,” said Steffen, our Assistant Head Coach.

“He can go forward and get back to protect the defence and he’s always so strong for the full 90 minutes.

“His attitude to keep going, to be strong, to keep playing and that shows how strong he is. He’s physically powerful and if he’s concentrated and focused, for me, he’s the best right full-back in England.”
