Steffen Freund thanked our fans for their wonderful support in Hong Kong.

Thousands of Spurs fans were at our matches against Sunderland and South China FC in the Barclays Asia Trophy at HK Stadium.

Supporters Clubs from all over Asia were represented – flags from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, China were visible at the stadium both for the matches and our open training session – alongside a number from Australia and, of course, fans that travelled from the UK.

“I always say that wherever we go in the world, Spurs fans are there to support us,” said Steffen, our Assistant Head Coach.

“Hong Kong was another example, the supporters are fantastic and so enthusiastic. They love football and love Spurs.

“They were so many Spurs fans at the stadium and it was great to see them all and have the chance to sign autographs at the training session.

“Myself, Ledley, Tony Parks and David Ginola also went to the Supporters Clubs event on Friday and that was another special night. It means a lot to us to see our fans wherever we go.”

Fans were also full of praise for the four legends after that fantastic Supporters Club event in Wan Chai.

Aaron Smith said: "The four stars represented their club admirably and were an absolute credit, the audience asked some great questions and I genuinely believe that the players had a good evening, as evidenced by the fact that they stayed for over two hours."

Harry Brown: "A memorable night that's up there with some very special occasions from the past 30+ years of following the Lilywhites.”

Jeremy Butts: "It was one of the best nights in the history of Spurs HK. Still on cloud nine."

Paul Atkinson: "To all of you who hosted that fabulous night at Delaney's with our Spurs Legends then take a bow. So pleased I travelled from NZ. Met some amazing new friends."
