Alex Pritchard described pitting his wits against Chelsea this week as a 'fantastic experience'.

The skilful young forward has been making his mark on loan at Swindon Town this term with Spurs team-mates Grant Hall and Ryan Mason.

Alex's winning goal at QPR in round three set-up the fourth round clash against the Blues at the County Ground on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, the Robins couldn't produce the giant-killing as the Blues ran out 2-0 winners, but nevertheless performed admirably against a strong Chelsea side including the likes of David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Juan Mata, Willian and Fernando Torres.

"It was a great occasion, the atmosphere was electric and fantastic to be involved in a game like that," said Alex, who fired in a couple of shots, dealt with by Mark Schwarzer.

"I thought we played well in spells but it was so difficult to break them down.

"Grant did really well, especially up against a front three of Torres, Willian and de Bruyne! I thought he coped well and it was a great experience for him.

"We can take plenty of positives out of it and now we face a tough game at Preston on Saturday. Hopefully we can kick-on and get another three points."
