Lewis Holtby is refusing to get carried away as our busy season rumbles on.

We secured a Capital One Cup fifth round tie opposite West Ham United after Wednesday night’s dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Hull City.

We’re also back in Europa League action this coming Thursday as we host FC Sheriff at the Lane, looking to defend our 100 per cent record in the competition.

All that, plus our ongoing exploits in the Premier League, means it’s a hectic time for all at the club, and midfielder Lewis says the players are up for the challenge.

“It’s a busy time of the season but footballers love playing games,” said the German international.

“We have a big squad and everyone is ready for these matches, every one is like a cup final.

"It's a long, hard season but we have the players to cope when the games keep coming over the winter.

"You can't write us out of any competition at the moment but we must keep our feet on the ground and make sure we don't take any game lightly."
